Quick answer: Stay at mid-range, sidestep the chair charge, punish with one or two hits, and leave the fire spin before re-entering. Clear or kite the exploding adds around half health and move the fight away from the low-health fly cloud.

Location and route
Boss location: Glutted Mire Corrupted Gate, beyond Sunken Village in Fainweald.
Enter from the Mushroom Village Gate route, continue through Glutted Mire, and drop from the final swamp ledge into the arena.
Preparation checklist
- Collect the Etching Needles chest on the route before the arena.
- Spend 1 Glimpse at the pre-arena point if you want Smert to draw aggro.
- Use a fast or wide-sweeping weapon; long slow commitments often miss her moving chair.
- Equip Burn mitigation if your current inventory supports it.
