Mortal Shell 2 Keys — Chapel, Crypt & Blackmarrow

Quick answer: The Chapel Key is behind an illusory stone arch southeast of Mushroom Village Beacon. The Crypt Key is on a table in a ruined building at Desolate Peak. Blackmarrow Keys open one Shell-specific Shade chest each.

Chapel Key location and use
- Start at Mushroom Village Beacon and travel southeast.
- Look for a stone arch that behaves like an illusory wall; pass through it to reach the statue holding the key.
- Use the Chapel Key at the Shrine of Trials.
- Complete the route to claim Axe & Dagger.

Crypt Key location and use
- Reach Desolate Peak from the Citadel of Penance route.
- Near Baghead, enter the ruined building from the rear and take the key from the table or shelf by the entrance.
- Travel to the Hall of Echoes entrance north of Grisha Hunting Grounds and south of Stones of Remembrance.
- Open the crypt, then use the Hall of Echoes puzzle walkthrough for the hidden bell, pillar, and all four pickups.
Blackmarrow Keys and Shade chests
Eight Shade chests surround the Marrow Keep elevator, one for each permanent Shell. Each chest consumes one Blackmarrow Key and requires its matching Shell to be unlocked first.
- Collector at Abandoned Outpost during Night Mode: listed for 1,500 Gold.
- Shrine of Sorrows during Night Mode.
- Desolate Keep route involving Marrow Keep's hidden chaos chalice / Slayer Seal path.
- Hidden chest below the tower near Abbey Entrance.
- Room behind the cleansed Ova at Child's Feeding Ground after The Lost Child.
Evidence gap: Launch guides agree that eight keys/chests exist, but the source used here only pins down five acquisition routes. We will add the remaining three after independent confirmation.
