Mortal Shell 2 Trophy Guide & Platinum Roadmap — All 53

Updated August 24, 2026 · Checked for the current launch build

Quick answer: Do the two opening missables immediately, prepare Peter's Perfect Parry before the Nameless Captive, collect everything before Send Ova, then budget two full cycles plus part of NG++ for all Shell Memories.

Recommended approach: use one main save, make a backup before the Nameless Captive and before Send Ova, and spend scarce Glimpse on Shell Memories before optional experiments.

The three missable trophies

  1. Mid Summer? — enter the Festival in the prologue and interact with Marigold before following the critical path out. The opening space cannot be revisited in the same cycle.
  2. No, You Still Can't Win — push the scripted opening Tar Golem encounter to its minimum-health trigger. Do not simply let the sequence end without fighting.
  3. Peter's Perfect Parry — during the Nameless Captive's later phase, use the Untarnished Seal and Perfect Guard every hit of the slower reverse seven-hit headspin. If the boss dies first, retry from a backup or in the next cycle.
Recognition cue: the qualifying spin is the deliberate reverse sequence, not every fast spin the boss performs. Keep enough health to learn the rhythm and avoid damage-over-time effects that might end the fight early.

Run 1: explore, collect, and protect the save

Before Send Ova: final cleanup

Send Ova starts the next cycle. Before confirming it, verify these categories rather than relying on memory:

Then use the point-of-no-return guide for a shorter on-screen departure check.

Run 2 and NG++: what carries the schedule

Use the second cycle to finish alternative outcomes, missing quest steps, and remaining Memories. Current roadmaps place Seeking the Past in part of a third cycle because two ordinary runs do not provide enough Glimpse for all 40 Shell Memories.

Do not start a third full completion sweep blindly. At the end of cycle two, compare the Memory menu Shell by Shell and route directly to the Glimpse sources you still need.

Slayer Seal and trophy safety

Safest rule: picking up the Slayer Seal is fine; do not equip it on a trophy save. The equip flow shows two warnings, and current completion guides report that activation disables trophy eligibility for that save.

Night Mode and the Slayer Seal are separate decisions. If a future patch changes eligibility, trust the warning displayed by your installed build. See the difficulty guide before enabling either modifier.

All trophies: persistent checklist

The list mirrors Steam's current 53 entries and includes No Lifer, which is also the PlayStation Platinum. A few hidden names differ by platform—Steam uses Baghead, while PlayStation guides use Bag Holder. Checks are stored only in this browser.

Second screen: game on the main display, this tab on a second monitor, a snapped window, or a phone. Tick as you collect. Ticks stay in this browser only — a phone and a PC do not share them.

Frequently asked questions

How many trophies and achievements are in Mortal Shell 2?

Steam's official page currently lists 53 achievements, including the No Lifer meta-achievement. The PlayStation 5 set is also listed as 53 trophies: 1 Platinum, 1 Gold, 10 Silver, and 41 Bronze.

How many playthroughs does the Mortal Shell 2 Platinum take?

Plan for two complete cycles plus part of a third. The long tail is Seeking the Past because unlocking and viewing every Shell Memory requires more Glimpse than two normal cycles provide.

Which Mortal Shell 2 trophies are missable?

Current trophy roadmaps flag three: Mid Summer?, No, You Still Can't Win, and Peter's Perfect Parry. The first two are in the opening; the last is tied to a specific Nameless Captive attack.

Does the Slayer Seal disable trophies?

The game presents two warnings before it is equipped, and current completion guides report that equipping it disables trophies for that save. Picking it up is safe; for a trophy run, do not equip it.

Evidence: Platform totals and names are checked against official Steam statistics. Route, missable, time, and cycle estimates are cross-checked with the current 100% Guides roadmap and All Things How trophy guide. Requirements can change with patches; the in-game trophy description is authoritative. Reviewed August 24, 2026.
